This painting was very enjoyable for me to paint. I love the vibrant colors and I worked on painting with a looser style yet adding details in desired areas. I am pleased with the outcome.
I go for walks at this location and some days I bring my camera along to see what surprises I might find. During the winter, the fields are full of Canadian geese and Sandhill Cranes. I captured a few of the Sandhill Cranes in this painting as well as the dried grass that adds movement from a breeze.
Completed this painting in a day, which is probably a first for me. There are some days that the creative flow is so there, that I can go on for literally hours upon hours. Painting a landscape so close to home really reflects my passion for painting!
This month has been busy with my daughters arriving home from college and plenty of distractions which limited my painting time. I did however find the time to play with a couple of projects. I received a beautiful paper mache nativity from my mother and I decided to paint a background for it. Simple and effective for my statement.
Just finished this little painting of "Bosque Trail View". I enjoyed painting this scene of what sums up the Albuquerque valley. All that is missing are the ducks. This is my favorite time of year!
This is the first half of my floral painting, a work in progress. Be looking for the second half to complete the set. I can hardly wait myself as this is turning out so vibrant. Each half is 18"x 24"
