Diana Monte
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Diana's family made Albuquerque, New Mexico their home in 1973. As she began to discover her God-given gift as an artist, her passion to paint using oil became her foundation.
Diana's paintings capture Life and Nature. She enjoys experimenting with texture, color, light and shadows as she paints to capture a scenic landscape, the amazing skies or the culture of the Southwest.
Diana works at inviting the viewer to feel and think about the scene she has painted.
She has been teaching private painting classes since 1996. She is a 'juried' artist, whose work has been shown at the New Mexico State Fair, local Art Studio Tours, Lavender Festival, Encantada Art Exhibition and several other exhibitions and local galleries.
Diana resides in the North Valley of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque with her husband John. They have two beautiful adult daughters and a chocolate labradoodle.
